Such little bulb so important to a bug zapper, easy installation!

Does great at trapping insects.

I have had my Dynatrap for about three years now. These bulbs replaced my originals that came with my trap. First trap worked so well I bought a second one when I moved, as I had a creek across the street in a more rural area. The picture with the shoe shows about a bit more than a month worth of mosquitoes. My second one gets just as much. Running this 24/7 allows my son, whose allergic to the bites, play outside more often without being worried about blistering bites. I do feel that these bulbs are a bit brighter than the original bulbs that came with my traps. Still very effective.

I am disgusted with the time wasted and money wasted on a product that worked a few months, cost over $120+ and an additional $70+ in light bulbs that do not work. I loved this product for the first few months but it does not have successful replacement bulbs.

I ordered the DynaTrap DT152 after considering the Katchy fruit fly/gnat device. I ended up choosing the DynaTrap due to their company being established as well as the extra feature of creating a bit of CO2 to lure in bugs. In theory this should be a great trap for fruit flies and gnats. In practice, it's only marginally better than a homemade trap of vinegar and soap. I've been running the DynaTrap in my bedroom but not when I'm sleeping-- the way the light lure is designed, it's way too bright for me to be comfortable trying to sleep. Secondly-- the results. I have watched fruit flies sitting on my desk, right next to the DynaTrap while the light and CO2 are on, and they're "just not that into" it, apparently. I've been running this trap for 6 days straight, nearly 24 hours a day, and I'm attaching a picture of the results. It seems to have caught a moth or two, but hardly any fruit flies or gnats. Again, this photo is showing the results from 6 days. I have personally killed more fruit flies with my bare hands than this trap has caught in that time period. Added to the fact that the sticky area on the DT152's trap pads is just a lot smaller than other brands such as Katchy, I really can't recommend this trap as a serious solution to a fruit fly or gnat problem.

This will not trap mosquitos without bait because it's only a UV light. If you are in the south (I am in Alabama), the best bait for our mosquitos is Atrakta (or any other bait with the same ingredients). If you live in the rest of the US, both Atrakta and Octenol will work. If you live in Canada, use Octenol. There are different species in different regions that are attracted to different baits - Octenol will not work in the south! I have about 3 acres, but primarily need my deck and front yard to be protected. I have two 1 acre DynaTraps, both with Atrakta mosquito bait in the net. One is 20 feet from my deck and the other is 50 feet in the other direction to also protect my barn, garden, and chicken coop. I also have a 1/2 acre DynaTrap for the front yard. Replace the baits every 2 months. Expensive? Absolutely! Preferable to the half-solution of spraying your yard with pesticide, which won't even fix your mosquito problem? Absolutely. Baited DynaTrap overkill (get more than you think you'll need) is the best mosquito solution out there, and its better for pollinators, your yard's health, and your health.

I had fungus gnats from a bag of soil terrorizing my home. My DynaTrap 3019 had a burnt out UV bulb and I was unable to find a quick replacement for the bulb, so I purchased the DynaTrap 3007. Dissatisfied with the performance. The LED light of the DynaTrap 3007 is only 2” long although the sticky trap is 4” long, so the pests are almost only on either side of the 2” light (see photo). The light needs to be at least as long as the stick trap!

I keep this Dynatrap on 24/7. Unlike the outdoor one that doesn’t trap mosquitoes like DynaTrap advertises, this unit is very effective, knats, fruit flys, regular flys. Company lists what the unit and inserts does accurately. I change the glue insert out about every 2 weeks.

This is perfect to keep the bugs and mosquitoes at bay while enjoying your outdoor living space! It looks good too! DynaTrap makes great quality products! Super easy to set up and use and it really does work! We just have it on our deck by the bbq but I have definitely noticed a decrease in bugs upstairs! Not noisy at all either. Great value!

This is only after 24 hours of use!!!!!! We came home after church at night and didn’t have any mosquitos chasing us or following us into the house. Definitely need to get one of these!

Worth the money, I live in an area where love bugs and mosquitos are everywhere and this device definitely helps with the bug issue. This is not a bug zapper, it catches them in a basket and starves them until they die. Cleaning it out is easy you just have to dump out the basket. This will not 100 perfect eliminate your bug problem but it definitely makes a difference definitely worth the money.

I live in Alabama near a storm drain and have had a serious mosquito problem. Every time I stepped outside, I was getting eaten alive. I know DynaTrap has mixed reviews, but I was desperate and decided to try the DT1050-AZSR with the Atrakta lure packet. I set it up yesterday and let it run continuously (as recommended). After just 24 hours, I checked it and was shocked — it had already caught a large number of mosquitoes. There are a few moths and other bugs, but it’s mostly mosquitoes. I’d estimate at least 40, possibly more. So far, I’m impressed. I’ll update after a week, but if you’re struggling with mosquitoes like I was, this is definitely worth trying.

This thing has caught a lot since I bought it. I need one for my house. This is in my office as I get a lot of flies, gnats, and mosquitoes. No issues coming out of the box. I unplug to check before opening to make sure it last long. Will likely change the pad after 1 month.

This contraption far exceeded my expectations. I originally purchased this item when my baby was being discharged from the NICU because we had an untimely infestation of flies and mosquitos and I didn’t want my newborn to suffer. Believe the hype! I change the sticky pad every 2-3 weeks and it’s completely saturated with insects each and every time! This machine is a fruit fly’s worst enemy but it also clears the room of mosquitoes, house flies, knats, moths, and even flying ants! This bad boy is small and compact, durable, quiet, affordable, and the purple UV light makes for a neat night light. No more mosquito bites… a win is a win!

Works great indoors but has one design flaw easily fixed. Fan is quiet but can hear a low hum if you're in the same room if there’s no other noise. Doesn’t bother me. I live in Mozambique with mosquitos everywhere all year round. The house fills up with them just by entering/exiting the house. I turn it on at night and it catches plenty. The photo shows the results after 3 nights and it’s not even peak mosquito season yet. I'd guess around 40. (I also have the Zap iT Bug Zapper that works great and is very emotionally satisfying to use). The only negative is the flapper system. It's counterweighted so as to open from small force of the fan and yet must be able to close at fan shutoff. This is a delicate balance but mine, along with many others find the flappers won't fully close when you shut the fan off. I use it only at night so when I shut it off in the morning or to take off the lid to empty out, any live mosquitos in there will escape. I cut some heavy gauge copper wire and attached with just a speck of superglue to add a small amount of counterweight which fixed the issue. I tried one piece of wire but that wasn't enough. For my unit, these two pieces on each flapper did the trick. The manufacturer should make this adjustment for better performance but this fix is easy to do. Bottom line, it works great and I'd buy it again.
