Item arrived with a beat-up box inside a good condition dynatrapoutlet.com box so the damage likely happened at the warehouse. It all was covered in what seemed to be a thick layer of sawdust inside of the box. The base of the stand was scuffed down to the metal, pole doesn't sit steady and will wobble. It also is a lot shorter than expected only coming to about 3 ft or so. I called dynatrapoutlet.com to see if I could get a partial refund due to the damage but they could only return and refund it entirely and this thing is super awkward if you had to ship it back. I opted to keep it since it turns on and will likely get beat-up more outside. I'll update after awhile if it actually reduces the bugs.

★★★★★ I was very skeptical when getting this, BUT it works!! I have only had it a couple of days and I have to say the fruit fly problem is gone. We do a lot of juicing and have fruit on hand at all times, along with that comes the fruit flies, and midges. We wash the fruit when we get it home and still they are there. Extremely quiet Attracts them by UV light, and CO2 generation. Two nights, and gone. Put it on the kitchen counter, two nights later you can see them all in there. Problem solved. Get one or two. I'm getting my money out of it. THANKS DYNATRAP ---UPDATE--- With summer time in Florida comes the all mighty Mosquito...The kids are in and out leaving doors open and there were a few really fast little buggers that defied swatting. This morning we finally found them...IN THE TRAP!!! We are getting another for the kids room We also have the large one for out doors, we put it away from where we sit around the corner by the AC and hedges. Mosquito alley. After a week we can actually go through that area the trap is full of the little buggers. Do not be in a hurry to clean it out as they attract other females to the trap. We are very happy with this unit. We can take back our yard without chemicals. I like the one on the pole as we can move it inside for the off season. O…M….G… I have been plagued with flies coming inside this season due to the early heat I supposed. I’ve never experienced such a fly problem in my life. I have tried every type of fly shatter imaginable, but they all break as I probably kill 100 flies per day which equates to 500 swats as I’m not very good at it. I also bought some of those sticky things to set on the counter and around the house to catch them and catch them they did, but didn’t put a dent into the problem. Then I received this little gem. I thought it wouldn’t work worth a flip as it is tiny and the suction didn’t seem all that much. I doubted it would catch as many flies as the stickie things, but I set it up because any fly it catches is one less I have to swat. The instructions say to NOT put it by a competing light source, but I did. I placed it right beside my little Aerogarden that sets on my counter. I placed it so the top of the fly catcher’s light would be about even with the light on the Aerogarden because I can’t live without my Aerogarden and that is where the majority of the flies congregate because of the light. It is also hanging close to the door and many flies that come in the door go straight to the fly catcher and get eaten immediately. It was stunning. The flies flying under my Aerogarden light just zipped right over to the flycatcher and got sucked in immediately. Just zip… zip… zip… and they were gone. Although I just saw it catch about 30 flies in a few minutes, I still had no expectations of it completely eliminating my fly problem. It’s been a week now and I have yet to have to swat a single fly. Flies do still fly into the RV we are living in for the summer, but after just a bit, they go to my Aerogarden and then they fairly quickly checkout the light on the bug catcher and ZIP! They’re gone. It also got rid of all the fruit flies that were coming up out of my sink drain. We’re having an insane mosquito season due to the extreme TX heat, but I haven’t had a single one come inside and bite me. I assume SOME have had to come inside when we go in and out of the door often. If so, the bug eater got them as nobody has been bitten inside the RV. We are in love with this little darling and ecstatic that we purchased it and ended our fly problem. I intended to buy more of them if it worked fairly well, but it has been unnecessary as this single one is getting them all. I highly recommend this baby if you have an RV. I assume it would work well in a home as well and intend to try it there when we return.

Ok so my dog broke a window in my room and good god there’s so many flying mosquitos or flying insects these past couple nights annoying and biting me everywhere! So I finally plugged this baby in just 24 hours ago and the results are in the photo I’ve uploaded. Amazing. Unfortunately for me due to me not having a window till the window repair comes through later this week there are tons of bugs constantly coming in so I would need tons of these but as you can see it will DEFINITELY HELP! The set I got comes with one wall plug in and 2 sticky things. I highly recommend these and recommend you get a couple sets of the wall plug in at least so you can really attack your issue at hand!!! Note: if you have large flying bugs this will work but I’m thinking maybe won’t be able to catch tons because the entire sticky thing isn’t super big but who knows. See photo!

There was no way this bulb was going to arrive intact the way it was packaged. Now I have to go out of my way to return this.

This will not trap mosquitos without bait because it's only a UV light. If you are in the south (I am in Alabama), the best bait for our mosquitos is Atrakta (or any other bait with the same ingredients). If you live in the rest of the US, both Atrakta and Octenol will work. If you live in Canada, use Octenol. There are different species in different regions that are attracted to different baits - Octenol will not work in the south! I have about 3 acres, but primarily need my deck and front yard to be protected. I have two 1 acre DynaTraps, both with Atrakta mosquito bait in the net. One is 20 feet from my deck and the other is 50 feet in the other direction to also protect my barn, garden, and chicken coop. I also have a 1/2 acre DynaTrap for the front yard. Replace the baits every 2 months. Expensive? Absolutely! Preferable to the half-solution of spraying your yard with pesticide, which won't even fix your mosquito problem? Absolutely. Baited DynaTrap overkill (get more than you think you'll need) is the best mosquito solution out there, and its better for pollinators, your yard's health, and your health.

This is the best mosquito trap I've ever seen. This picture is the result of a one week period during an outbreak of mosquitoes after heavy rains. The trap was completely full and the dead mosquitoes came out in a solid mass. Note--many of the mosquitoes are still alive in the trap, as there are no chemicals involved, so I put the trap in a plastic bag and stuck it in the freezer for a few minutes to finish the job. I just ordered a second one!

The picture is what I saw when I opened the too small of a box for my order of bulbs. Only *1 bulb out of a 2 bulb pkg. was delivered; packaging from bulbs disassembled & separated from bulb, so the remaining bulb was unprotected; bulb was placed diagonolly so it just fit--no wrapping around the bulb! I have ordered the same item before, several times, and things were packed extremely well! AND I got 2 bulbs in a 2 bulb pkg. before, unopened, as a customer would expect! When I called, I was told the item would be reordered for me and I'd get an email to that effect. I received an email saying I'd get a refund because I had never received the item. (I did get part of it, but am not even sure it works because of precarious packing.)

We have been using these mosquito zappers for years and rarely suffer from bites! We place two in our yard , each 20-40 ft from where we are. They emit a light that draws the bugs in and they can’t escape. It’s an easy way to make your yard so much more livable. So worth the price

leave it running 24 7 like they said recommended have seen less mosquito though spring will tell me the effects catch a lot of tiny moth and one little lizard but I am willing to have them sacrifice I guess to cut down on killer mosquitoes in my backyard as I live on the water. I am using green extension cord and have to get a GFI type outlet for the backdoor where pic was taken installed to run the cord to this backdoor.

Works 👌

Very cheaply made product. Fan stopped working just after a year and Dynatrap won't honor their warranty or a replacement part. They took all of my information to send me a replacement , THEN asked for my purchase date and where I purchased it. Based on my purchase date and where I bought it, I no longer qualified for a replacement fan, and they pulled their offer to provide a replacement and said I would have to purchase AN ENTIRE NEW UNIT. No offer for me to buy a replacement part (the fan), their only remedy was to buy an entirely new Dynatrap unit.

No smell and very effective. We put these strips in our light device that plugs into the wall while we sleep. The light is bright so we put it in a different room. The design is extremely effective at attracting and catching flying bugs. These are durable and lasts a couple months before needing to be replaced. Highly recommend for keeping bugs at bay.

Mosquitoes aren't attracted to this trap. I even tried mosquito lure bait and the mosquitoes just aren't interested except for the lone one that gets too close and sucked in. The mosquito love my black colored puppy which makes me think they camp out in the grass lawn. I'm hopeful for the Spartan traps, dunks, and natural repellent grain. Maybe the dunks will kill enough to stop the breeding cycle. Btw, I read mosquitoes aren't attracted to the dynatrap light. This makes sense because the light breaksdown the CO2 which mosquitoes are attracted to. Spartan mosquito traps: After 1 month using a set of two spaced 75 feet apart 5.5ft of the ground in dense mosquito territory: Between the two traps: they caught zero mosquitoes, 5 ants, 6 spiders. Very disappointed. My area is home to about 10 different mosquito types. I also tried qty 2 Dynatraps (even with mosquito lure, they only caught the aimless mosquito which got too close to the suction fan; they didn't make an impact). I also tried planting citronella which doesn't do anything unless it's cut, processed, liquefied and applied to your skin; too much work. I'm hopeful for mosquito dunks in nearby pond, first batch/month didn't seem to do much; trying second batch. Next endeavor is to encourage dragonflies which eat mosquitoes or mosquito fish. Last resort is industrial spray backyard. Update: Attached photos after 2.5 months usage of two traps 100 feet apart in summer SC area with wooded backyard, grass, overflow pond. Spartan traps did nothing (embarrassment). Mosquito dunks: questionable results, not convinced. Powdered granular natural repellent is just short lived and not worth the cost. Next tests will be: increasing dragonfly population and propane driven repellent.

We have, well had lol, quite a mosquito problem on our front porch and saw this tiny Dynatrap and thought 'what the hell why not'. It actually worked better than I expected! Mind you this is on a pretty small not-very-open front porch, like enough seating for 3, and it was hung on the ceiling which is where all the mosquitos were too. The picture is about 2 days of it running 24/7. The build quality does honestly look kinda cheap, but I haven't had any problems with anything mechanically or what-not, and the bottom casing that holds the bugs that clicks onto the rest of the trap does feel solid. No complaints so far! I honestly would not expect this kind of result on average, but we had what looked like 100 or maybe more mosquitos condensed onto the front porch, but it still worked so dang I'm all for that!
