  • These are great, the only part that is gross it the clean up. I've seen a noticeable difference in the number of mosquitos. I live in a heavily wooded, tree, shade/bush area (see pictures). My biggest recommendation is to make sure you get rid of any sitting water that reduced our problem by 50%. I had to drill small holes in our roof gutters as they weren't draining completely. Another issue I think some people who complain about it not working need to read how to effectively deploy these. I put this device in areas where I get flocked by mosquitos (it's near our pool equipment, prior to deployment I'd get 10-15 on me within seconds) but about 20ft away from where we will be. Most mosquitos don't travel more than 25-40ft from where they hatch. The instructions say to put this 20ft from where you will be, so I put this in vegetation that sits near the pool where I think many of the mosquitos come from. I then went on the other side of the pool and put another Dynatrap about 20ft from where we would be. I have a huge yard (1.5acres) so I figured having two would be enough. We get a TON of bugs, fyi. The mosquito lifecycle is around 6weeks so for maximum effectiveness this needs to run for 5 more weeks but I'd say I'm happy with my purchase. Remember that these are only as effective as how you deploy them! Also make sure the area doesn't have a competing light source. So this is in an extremely dark area at night with no other light so it is a huge beacon. Good luck.

  • It catches mosquitos with lure packet but does get other bugs unfortunately. I keep it near my deck so I can check it daily. It didn't catch mosquitos until I added a scent packet which should come with it, imo. I did have to save a few bees but overall it does get some of those pesky bloodsuckers. It took 2 weeks to start attraction attracting them. Very quite machine with purple led light. You do need to plug in. Moths definitely like it!

  • It seems to traps the bugs magically because the annoying flying insects disappear.

  • This Dynatrap is really pretty straightforward to use. Just peel off the paper on the sticky trap and insert into the unit then plug in to attract your pesky insects. The glue on the sticky trap is super sticky and thick like a mouse trap. The insects are lured in by the light and get trapped on the glue. I plan to only use this when those fruit flies are everywhere and so hard to get rid of.

  • 5 days of use and 1/2 full container. So it is doing something!… A LOT of mosquitos/midges but also some moths and other bugs. Hard to say how effective this is on reducing population as I started it 2 months after mosquito breeding season started. Will have to review again next year when I start it up in May… Using the attractant pouch that smells like B.O. and cannot comment on the device on its own but seriously? $20 for a pouch? Let’s bring it down to realistic affordable price like $8… They seem to have improved the catch basin with a quick release to drop bugs into a bag but that also dropped the pouch. So secure the pouch with a twisty or tape so you don’t lose that expensive item… As of now, I can say there is a reduction of bugs attacking me when I go outside but the reduction is only like 25% for now. Too soon for long term assessment but for those on the fence about this product and company paid reviews, this item seems worth it for now. Review to be updated and stars updated in a month and again next year as I can legitimately report it’s effectiveness.

Got this back in March (its mid june now) and have been using this device every day except when cleaning. I live in the middle of Florida so basically mosquito and bug heaven. This thing catches tons of moths, june bugs, flying ants, and other bugs. I cant say I've actually seen any mosquitoes in it though which was my main purpose for buying it. It does attract frogs at night though which have grown quite large picking off bugs that don't fall victim to the trap and I hope those frogs get some mosquito action. I might put a C02 dispenser on it though to try to increase the amount of mosquitoes it generates or use octenol lures. If this improves performance I will update the review

  • I am SO THRILLED with this DynaTrap DT1050-TUNSR Mosquito & Flying Insect Trap. It REALLY WORKS! And this is coming from the most mosquito attractive person I know… ME! We have literally tried just about everything: Citronella (doesn’t work & not great when you can smell it while you’re trying to eat outside) Zappers (only works slightly better, but that embarrassing noise it makes… nah) Mosquito repellant sprays (don’t want the smell or spray residual near where we’re eating food) Although we live in southern California and never had problems with mosquitos before, it’s become a HUGE PROBLEM over the past few years. It can ruin any time you want to spend on the patio, unless you use lots of spray or other repellants. And not only are the bites annoying (I am also slightly allergic), but they can be dangerous (lots of new mosquitos in our area that are much more aggressive and can carry disease). After a lot of research, I found this fan and trap style of mosquito device and after reading loads of reviews, decided to give it a try. I was desperate! With a fast-approaching patio dinner for friends, I needed something that would really work so I ordered the trap and set it up near our patio table, two days before the dinner. After twenty-four hours of continuous use, the trap had a fair number of mosquitos, moths, and gnats in it. I continued to let it run (next to the table), and moved it about 25 feet away, a few hours before our guests arrived. During the dinner, I kept checking my arms and ankles to see if I had been bit. NOPE! Not one bite and I never saw a mosquito. As a matter of fact, the fan on the device is fairly quiet, so while we sat around talking and eating, it never bothered us in the least. This trap is WONDERFUL, and I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND using this when you don’t want to use a toxic spray and you haven’t had any luck with smelly citronella candles! I’m even thinking about purchasing a second one for our front courtyard!

  • I was eager to try the DynaTrap DT1130-GRSR Mosquito/bug trap as we have a lot of rain in the spring and get a lot of mosquitos as a result. We have the standard bug zappers that can be loud, so I was excited to see how quiet this unit is. After running it a while, it did trap a collection of bugs. I can't say that this totally eliminates all the mosquitos in a given area though. We use it on the back patio, and while it does attract and trap quite a bit, there's still a lot of those bloodsuckers flying around to get us. But, using it in conjunction with our existing bug zappers and some mosquito dunks, the number of mosquitos 'bugging' us is greatly diminished. I may look at getting another one for our front porch.

  • These bulbs are supposed to last several months. I purchased in July and it went out two weeks ago

  • This is only after 24 hours of use!!!!!! We came home after church at night and didn’t have any mosquitos chasing us or following us into the house. Definitely need to get one of these!

  • My machine is new ran for 2 days and caught about 1/3 mosquitoes and 2/3 moths and other insects. Added the pack and in one night the amount of mosquitoes is a significant amount more than the two days it ran without the bait. I have had the bait for one day we will see how well it continues to work however the cost is rather expensive for what it is!

  • I've had one of the bigger dynatrap indoor bug traps for 4 years and have loved it. We moved from an apartment to a house so I wanted another one but my model seems to be discontinued. So I tried out this newer model. It's smaller and the light is led instead of a bulb like my older model. This one seems to get the job done just like my other one. Give it a try it'll help knock out those moths, Flys, fruit flies etc.
