   First, let me start off as saying, this is a great product. In fact, I have two Dynatraps. It catches lots of bugs and keeps the yard mostly bug free. There are two issues with product. One is, the replacement bulbs are a pain to change. You have to go up under trap (fan) and unscrew 4 tiny screws and then inside, bulb is held in place by another screw with a tab. It’s not difficult, but you have to change the bulb every 3-4 months,( I use it for 8 months) and the unit is plastic, and taking the screws out several time, does strip them. There needs to be a better design for bulb replacement. Second issue is, the pole. The pole is great for hiding most of the electric cord. However, on one of my traps, (4 years old) the middle plastic bracket snapped off. The electric cord is threaded thru the pole. There is no replacing it and there is no way to feed cord with plug thru the pole. So it is useless. I have a dynatrap that works when plugged in but cannot use it because it is attached to a broken pole. It would be better if there was a way to get the cord with plug out so that I could just hang the Dynatrap on a hook. That said, I do like this product and am buying a new Dynatrap. However, I will be purchasing the one that I can use a sheppard’s hook with.

   We used it all of last summer, it worked great. Then the bulb ran out. I ordered it, my husband tried to change it but the top and bottom part around the bulb, that you have to open to replace it, came apart. You can see in Fig 1 what I’m talking about. The little bit about making sure those don’t separate is the last line of the instructions in small print. But if you take it apart, and you lose the female part down the slot, you can’t just plug it back in. I pulled the female plug out from the casing with needle nose pliers, cleaned out the casing put in the new lightbulb, cleaned the fan too with a toothbrush (carefully!! can’t get the wires in the middle wet). I attached a little wire bag closer to the female part so I can easily pull it out if it gets disconnected again. I cleaned the inside of the plug too, it had sat for months disconnected. Once all put back together it worked perfectly. We’re in the north east Georgia mountains and bus reign here. When I first called Dynatrap for help on how to fix the fact the plug had been disconnected I was not helped and the staff were rude.

   The product is working. I live on the bay and have terrible mosquito issues especially after a lot of rain. I needed to do something. I set this up and immediately began getting victims in the cage. After reading some other reviews, I think it is important to clarify how this thing works. It reduces and eventually eliminates the population in your 1/2 acre. It takes a little time to do this. So if you set the machine up, turn it on and then wonder if it works because you just got bit by a mosquito, you are misunderstanding how it works. You will still get bit as long as there are mosquitos in the area. But keep the thing running and you will get bit less and less until eventually there are no more around to bite you. That’s how it works – it eradicates the population. Plug it in and leave it running 24×7. Don’t move it. Don’t turn it off when you’re not there. Just leave it running in the same spot.

   Ok so I have had mine since Feb 2023- catches the bugs and does the job. The bulb just went out and what I wish I had known before today was what a pain in the absolute rear to replace the bulb. Involves multiple compartments and screws and latches and my goodness who designed this stupid thing??? And now I have a machine with a working bulb and non working fan. It is absolutely ridiculous. I am seeking my handy brother in law’s assistance and I will update this review when I can. Bottom Line: You’ll be happy for about 9 months and then you’ll have to change the bulb. I’m not kidding.

   Stand is a piece of junk and now I bought it in September of 2022, it lasted 5 months? REALLY
   Not worth the money. pick another model and or another brand.
   Called their phone number. First time on hold then they hung up.
   Second time got someone to answer gave the part number. Was told no that cannot be correct as I took a picture. Offered to send it to them, they hung up. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. There is not customer support and they hang up on you. REALLY. – Follow up – hung up on now 4 times as the people on the phone can not even speak english. I asked to be escalated to a supervisor. THEY DON’T HAVE ONE. This org has hired some fly by night outfit in Mexico to handle custoemr service. DO NOT BUY FROM THESE PEOPLE. Make sure to pick another brans so when you need support just maybe there will be support,

   Item arrived with a beat-up box inside a good condition dynatrapoutlet.com box so the damage likely happened at the warehouse. It all was covered in what seemed to be a thick layer of sawdust inside of the box. The base of the stand was scuffed down to the metal, pole doesn’t sit steady and will wobble. It also is a lot shorter than expected only coming to about 3 ft or so. I called dynatrapoutlet.com to see if I could get a partial refund due to the damage but they could only return and refund it entirely and this thing is super awkward if you had to ship it back. I opted to keep it since it turns on and will likely get beat-up more outside. I’ll update after awhile if it actually reduces the bugs.

    Cuidado con este vendedor, el paquete no traía los 2 focos de repuesto, no traía el cepillo para limpiar canastilla, la unidad me llegó con el pedestal defectuoso sin saberlo y al cambiar el foco unos meses después me di cuenta que el tornillo para cambio estaba barrido, este vendedor entrega unidades defectuosas o que alguien devolvió por los mismos problemas que describo, no recomiendo que le compren por rata.

    I live in Florida in an area that has been miserable to even go outside because of mosquitoes and gnats. I got the delivery on Monday and set it up same day. It is now Saturday and I have already noticed a difference in the amount of “buggage” outside. In the mornings when I would leave for work just opening my car door I would have 2-3 mosquitoes in the car with me. The last day or two I noticed that there aren’t mosquitoes in my car when I leave. Today I sat outside for an hour and only got bit once. I’m not saying they’re completely gone but I have already noticed the difference it is making. Not sure if it’s that I got this set up early enough in the season or if it just works that well. Will try to update in a few weeks. Hoping it continues to get better and planning on buying another one as I have a large property and 1 wouldn’t cover the whole yard. But so far very pleased.

    Era escéptico, porque los mosquitos no se sienten atraídos por la luz, sino por el C02. Bueno, lo he estado usando durante 2 meses y mis mosquitos están peor que nunca.
