   I used the light bug zappers in past and decided to give this a try. The bugs were flying around and about half of them got into the holding basket and stayed alive. You basically have to wait for the bugs to die off then dump the basket. Not even a week in and the basket broke apart at the top. I am going back to the light zapper. I do not want to dump out LIVE bugs with wasps in them and get stung while trying to figure out the basket not opening up.

   5 days of use and 1/2 full container. So it is doing something!… A LOT of mosquitos/midges but also some moths and other bugs. Hard to say how effective this is on reducing population as I started it 2 months after mosquito breeding season started. Will have to review again next year when I start it up in May… Using the attractant pouch that smells like B.O. and cannot comment on the device on its own but seriously? $20 for a pouch? Let’s bring it down to realistic affordable price like $8… They seem to have improved the catch basin with a quick release to drop bugs into a bag but that also dropped the pouch. So secure the pouch with a twisty or tape so you don’t lose that expensive item… As of now, I can say there is a reduction of bugs attacking me when I go outside but the reduction is only like 25% for now. Too soon for long term assessment but for those on the fence about this product and company paid reviews, this item seems worth it for now. Review to be updated and stars updated in a month and again next year as I can legitimately report it’s effectiveness.

   I LOVE these traps! Our house sits on 4 acres surrounded by marshland, on the Chesapeake Bay. These bug catchers are a lifesaver. It is a full on war with bugs here, especially mosquitoes. This little workhorse does an amazing job. It does such a great job, that I normally have to clean it once a month. The sides/blade becomes caked in the little dead insect bodies. Takes about 15 minutes to take it apart and clean it up. And well worth it! I’m glad it’s doing that much work. The huge puck of dead insect carcasses that falls from the basket every time is soooo satisfying!

   I can tell you this, when it is NOT on or when it needs cleaning and it is not working fully, the increase in mosquitos and being attacked is immediately noticeable to us! I’d recommend these to anyone.

   I bought a fly killer lamp a few weeks ago and the truth is that I am quite satisfied with the results. From day one I noticed a significant reduction of insects in the house, especially in the kitchen and on the balcony where they tend to accumulate the most. It is quiet, does not emit annoying odors and best of all it does not use chemicals, so it is safe to use around children and pets. Plus, it’s easy to clean and its power consumption is minimal.    This will not trap mosquitos without bait because it’s only a UV light. If you are in the south (I am in Alabama), the best bait for our mosquitos is Atrakta (or any other bait with the same ingredients). If you live in the rest of the US, both Atrakta and Octenol will work. If you live in Canada, use Octenol. There are different species in different regions that are attracted to different baits – Octenol will not work in the south! I have about 3 acres, but primarily need my deck and front yard to be protected. I have two 1 acre DynaTraps, both with Atrakta mosquito bait in the net. One is 20 feet from my deck and the other is 50 feet in the other direction to also protect my barn, garden, and chicken coop. I also have a 1/2 acre DynaTrap for the front yard. Replace the baits every 2 months. Expensive? Absolutely! Preferable to the half-solution of spraying your yard with pesticide, which won’t even fix your mosquito problem? Absolutely. Baited DynaTrap overkill (get more than you think you’ll need) is the best mosquito solution out there, and its better for pollinators, your yard’s health, and your health.

   Best for indoors even close to people. Low noise, pro bugmane and no toxic debris exploded into the air. I placed something in between the uv LEDS and anyone’s eyes to block direct view of dangerous uv light. I plug it in to a surge protector to help prevent surges from killing it and to extend its service life.

    It catches mosquitos with lure packet but does get other bugs unfortunately. I keep it near my deck so I can check it daily. It didn’t catch mosquitos until I added a scent packet which should come with it, imo. I did have to save a few bees but overall it does get some of those pesky bloodsuckers. It took 2 weeks to start attraction attracting them. Very quite machine with purple led light. You do need to plug in. Moths definitely like it!

    I’ve had this for a few weeks now to really try it out before reviewing. It does seem to slightly cut down on mosquito activity but they’re still a pretty constant nuisance. I have noticed a lot less other flying pests though, which is nice.

    I did purchase a bait pack to add in to attract mosquitos and it hasn’t helped much.

    J’ai reçu l’appareil mais il n’est pas en état de fonctionner car l’ampoule est défectueuse. J’ai demandé une autorisation pour retourner l’appareil car si je dois défrayer le coût d’une ampoule neuve, ça me coûterait 32.99$ + taxes en plus du prix d’achat de l’appareil qui doit inclure normalement une ampoule qui fonctionne. J’ai eu l’autorisation pour le retour mais on me demande de payer les frais de retour pour un appareil qui est défectueux. Inutile de dire que je suis très déçu.

    Works great for moths, and mosquitos. Hope they make some fly bait and wasp bait as those are bothersome where I live. I suppose I could put some meat or well-fermented wine in it, but it would be nice to have less maintenance involved bait. (Poked some holes in a baggy full of cotton and apple cider vinegar in hopes of catching more flies)
