   When buying the product it doesn’t mention that it is 120V and they are selling it in the UAE, which is 220v standard.. This is completely misleading and dangerous..

   Unit arrived by USPS in undamaged carton and appeared pristine, but would not switch on. I bypassed dynatrapoutlet.com to call the manual’s manufacturer contact, who immediately sent a replacement by UPS. The second unit runs, so I’ll be able to assess effectiveness soon. The new carton had a pack of mounting screws, a cleaning brush, and a laminated insert of “important information” that the first lacked, so I think the first unit had been a return. Such should get basic quality checks for function and accessories before re-issue. They did not want it back this time. So great customer service, even if initial fulfillment in combination dynatrapoutlet.com failed. High hopes on effectiveness!

   Worth the money, I live in an area where love bugs and mosquitos are everywhere and this device definitely helps with the bug issue. This is not a bug zapper, it catches them in a basket and starves them until they die. Cleaning it out is easy you just have to dump out the basket. This will not 100 perfect eliminate your bug problem but it definitely makes a difference definitely worth the money.

   works great you basically can’t change the bulb which wears out in 4 months /

   watch the youtube video on how to change the bulb – you have to in through the nasty side – through the bug compartment – remove the fan (which will be nasty by the time the bulb burns out) remove a bulb retainer clip and then replace the bulb.its at least 6 screws through nasty bug guts and three layers of plastic

   oh and if you’ve mounted it on a wall like you’re supposed to you can count on all that ick landing in your hair-

   no company could possibly design something so poorly on accident – they’re counting on folks just buying a new one when the bulb burns out

   Very cheaply made product. Fan stopped working just after a year and Dynatrap won’t honor their warranty or a replacement part. They took all of my information to send me a replacement , THEN asked for my purchase date and where I purchased it. Based on my purchase date and where I bought it, I no longer qualified for a replacement fan, and they pulled their offer to provide a replacement and said I would have to purchase AN ENTIRE NEW UNIT. No offer for me to buy a replacement part (the fan), their only remedy was to buy an entirely new Dynatrap unit.

   leave it running 24 7 like they said recommended have seen less mosquito though spring will tell me the effects catch a lot of tiny moth and one little lizard but I am willing to have them sacrifice I guess to cut down on killer mosquitoes in my backyard as I live on the water. I am using green extension cord and have to get a GFI type outlet for the backdoor where pic was taken installed to run the cord to this backdoor.

    This is the best mosquito trap I’ve ever seen. This picture is the result of a one week period during an outbreak of mosquitoes after heavy rains. The trap was completely full and the dead mosquitoes came out in a solid mass. Note–many of the mosquitoes are still alive in the trap, as there are no chemicals involved, so I put the trap in a plastic bag and stuck it in the freezer for a few minutes to finish the job. I just ordered a second one!

    I’ve had it connected a few weeks, the product seems to work, as it is collecting a bunch of insects. I can’t speak to whether it got rid of mosquitos in my backyard just yet, because we really haven’t been in the yard much lately. I am in Miami, so we do have mosquitos all the time. However, I am sending it back because I saw another reviewed with this problem and it happened to mine. One day I went outside and heard the fan making a pretty loud annoying hissing sound that you can heard 20-30 feet away, which is annoying. Maybe it’s this model, I went for this model in particular, because the plug was a regular size wall plug. I was going to go for the other model but the plug was on of those big rectangular plugs that wouldnt have fit in my water proof covered outlet I have outside. I hate to return used items, but the noise is really bad.

    Got this back in March (its mid june now) and have been using this device every day except when cleaning. I live in the middle of Florida so basically mosquito and bug heaven. This thing catches tons of moths, june bugs, flying ants, and other bugs. I cant say I’ve actually seen any mosquitoes in it though which was my main purpose for buying it. It does attract frogs at night though which have grown quite large picking off bugs that don’t fall victim to the trap and I hope those frogs get some mosquito action. I might put a C02 dispenser on it though to try to increase the amount of mosquitoes it generates or use octenol lures. If this improves performance I will update the review
