   I love how cheap these are; they’re perfect for my bug zapper. Who knew two tiny bulbs could save my backyard from those awful mosquitoes! Someone nearby has a huge puddle, making my yard unbearable. You get bitten twenty times in under four minutes—it’s terrible. Spraying didn’t work, and nothing else did either. Once I got a bug zapper that uses these bulbs, I stopped hating my own property. They last forever and totally do the job. I keep extras on hand so I never have to go without our bug machine. Buying these bulbs locally was crazy expensive. So glad they’re affordable on dynatrapoutlet.com.

   I have 2 of the large DynaTraps. One is 3 years old and the other is 2 years old. I bought these replacement bulbs and was stunned to find they have different end pieces than the bulbs in my devices. These do not work at all…not made to fit the devices. I am very disappointed in the company. Searching dynatrapoutlet.com, I did find a bulb that has the necessary end design to fit my devices, but besides the $39 price, they were charging $19+ for shipping. Not paying that! My devices are worthless now, and I consider the company to be worthless also.

   I have had my Dynatrap for about three years now. These bulbs replaced my originals that came with my trap. First trap worked so well I bought a second one when I moved, as I had a creek across the street in a more rural area. The picture with the shoe shows about a bit more than a month worth of mosquitoes. My second one gets just as much. Running this 24/7 allows my son, whose allergic to the bites, play outside more often without being worried about blistering bites. I do feel that these bulbs are a bit brighter than the original bulbs that came with my traps. Still very effective.

   THE DOT TRAP HAS BEEN ONE OF THE BEST THINGS THAT I HAVE EVER BOUGHT. I GET BIT UP LIKE NO TOMORROW AND I HAVE NO MOSQUITOES IN MY BACKYARD. THIS WORKS GREAT. I’VE BEEN USING MINE FOR THREE YEARS NOW THE LIGHTBULBS LAST FOR A WHOLE SEASON AND I WOULD DEFINITELY ONLY BUY THE DINA TRAP LIGHTBULBS. THERE IS A DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THOSE AND THE GENERIC ONES.

   The picture is what I saw when I opened the too small of a box for my order of bulbs. Only *1 bulb out of a 2 bulb pkg. was delivered; packaging from bulbs disassembled & separated from bulb, so the remaining bulb was unprotected; bulb was placed diagonolly so it just fit–no wrapping around the bulb! I have ordered the same item before, several times, and things were packed extremely well! AND I got 2 bulbs in a 2 bulb pkg. before, unopened, as a customer would expect! When I called, I was told the item would be reordered for me and I’d get an email to that effect. I received an email saying I’d get a refund because I had never received the item. (I did get part of it, but am not even sure it works because of precarious packing.)

   I recently purchased replacement bulbs for my Dynatrap, and the old bulbs have been working well for a whole season of continuous use. Although the bulbs are white instead of blue, DynaTrap claims that both colors emit UV light and are equally effective at attracting mosquitoes. Interestingly, after about 20 minutes of use, both white bulbs (6-Watt) started casting a blue tint, which I managed to capture in a photo. However, one minor issue –replacing the bulbs can be challenging when there are bugs around. It requires twisting the bulb and unscrewing the protective light cover, which can be tedious for people with larger hands. But once you get the hang of it, it can be done quickly.

   This was the most irresponsible packing job of a fragile item that I’ve ever seen! Especially since these items are fluorescent bulbs, containing mercury, which is a biohazard if it’s broken and leaks into its surroundings! The bulbs arrived in a much larger box, along with some balls I ordered for my dogs, which wouldn’t be a problem except there was no protective material like bubble wrap or any packing material in the box whatsoever, to keep things from sliding around and banging against each other & the side of the box! Nor was the box labeled “fragile” on the outside, so the delivery people would know to be careful with it! The bulbs did not look broken, so I decided to try them. After all the hassle of getting the old bulbs out, which isn’t easy for the model of Dynatrap that I have, the new bulbs of course do not work. I checked the fuse in case that was the issue, but the fuse looks fine. They are sending a replacement, which I hope will work & be better packed, & I can drop off the defective/damaged return at a local UPS affiliate for free.

    I run this trap on my off grid cabin. I put new bulbs in every spring. This year mosquitos came early so I placed the bulbs early. They both worked, so I drove home. A couple weeks later I was back and one of them is bad and I can’t get it to work on either side.

    After removing the 3 screws holding on the top of the dynatrap, there is 1 more screw holding on the clear retainer for the bulbs. I take that off, remove old bulbs with a quarter turn, pop in the new ones, and it’s glowing like it was new again! Just what I needed to take care of these pesky mosquitos. Last ones lasted 2 years, I would buy these again when the time comes, and I bought 2 sets so I have them ready if needed!

    We had to replace our bulbs and got the knock-off because they were MUCH cheaper! But the metal ends are not secured properly, and they would not turn on the machine. My husband fiddled with this for a couple of days, just about ready to get a new machine. I said it might be the bulbs. Ordered the official bulbs and within 3-5 minutes it was working. Shame they are so expensive, but they work!

    This works great except for pumping it up. It’s pretty hard to do. I’m 71, though, so that could be why I can’t get enough pressure pumped up. But it does work great once pumped up.
