This mount was bought to use with a mosquito trap that needed to hang from a vertical surface. It was easy to use and worked great for its purpose. Unfortunately the trap for which it was bought did not work at all.

Mounts on the top of a pole easily and securely but have problem mounting it along a pole.

The hook is fine, but I mounted it to my deck using the included screws (and of course followed the directions) and it lasted exactly one day before the screws literally snapped and the unit landed on the deck. If the manufacturer is going to supply screws, at least use decent grade screws. This hook was supposedly designed for this unit and the hardware obviously cannot support the weight. So if you buy this, I would recommend using good quality screws instead of the ones provided.
